MCA of New York members met on Tuesday, September 25th, coming together for the first membership meeting since breaking for summer. Throughout the evening, members were able to enjoy a guided tour of the famed Panorama of the City of New York, the centerpiece of the Queens Museum collection. Constructed for the 1964 World’s Fair, the Panorama provides a unique view of all 320 square miles of New York City, including the roughly 900,000 buildings constructed at the time.
Once seated, members were updated on the latest issues impacting our industry, including city and state sexual harassment legislation and NYC Local Law 196, which addresses construction safety. The association continues to actively monitor the regulations that accompany these pieces of legislation, and information will be provided to help all members remain compliant.
The MCA is looking forward to seeing everyone on October 30th at the LaGuardia Marriott for our Eighth Annual Associate Member Trade Show!
